Job summary

The Shores at Clear Lake is seeking a Dining Services Director to lead kitchen operations and dietary staff in a compassionate senior living community. You will ensure regulatory compliance, food quality, and budget adherence while delivering exceptional resident dining experiences.

Key responsibilities include menu planning, staff supervision, and coordinating with events and resident programming. Strong English communication, healthcare food service experience, and Serv-Safe certification are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; specialized food service training preferred.
• Two years minimum experience in food service management, preferably in healthcare.
• Serv-Safe Certification required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Must be able to cook and follow standard recipes.
• Must lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the dietary department.
• Purchase foods, manage inventories, and supervise storage.
• Prepare meals per planned menus and special diet orders.
• Direct and train dietary staff; schedule hours and duties.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the dietary area.
• Participate in menu planning and cost controls.
• Support resident-centered activities and events when needed.
