Job summary

San Bernardino County's Department of Behavioral Health seeks an accomplished executive to serve as Deputy Director of Administrative Services Finance Division, overseeing financial management, fiscal strategy, and administrative programs.

The Deputy Director will join the executive team, guiding budget policy, revenue optimization, and contracts, with leadership over operations and long-term financial sustainability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Public Health Administration, Health Administration, or a closely related field.
• Four (4) years of progressively responsible administrative, financial, or management experience in a large and complex public-sector, healthcare, behavioral health, human services, or similarly complex organization.
• Qualifying experience must include significant responsibility in budget and fiscal administration, financial planning and analysis, program administration, organizational operations, and the development or implementation of administrative and financial policies and procedures.
• At least two (2) years of the qualifying experience must have been at a management level, supervising subordinates.

Responsibilities

• Financial management, fiscal strategy, and oversight of key departmental administrative programs and operations.
• Provide strategic direction over budget, contracts, compliance, and long-term financial sustainability.
• Serve as a senior financial executive and advisor to the Director on budgetary and policy matters.
• Oversee assigned administrative programs and functions to support department operations.
