Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking a Director of Culinary Services for a senior living community in Federal Way, WA. This is a full-time, permanent, salaried position with immediate hire and a salary of $85,000 - $95,000 per year depending on experience.

The role leads culinary operations for a large community, overseeing staffing, budgeting, menu planning, compliance with health regulations, and resident satisfaction. Prior senior living culinary leadership is preferred; a culinary degree is valued.

Qualifications

• Recognized food safety course completed.
• Minimum of five years’ experience as executive chef or similar role.
• Current sanitation certification/licensure.
• Knowledge of local Health Dept., OSHA regulations.
• Senior living culinary leadership preferred.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an upscale culinary services program.
• Supervise the Culinary Services Department, including hiring and performance management.
• Plan and implement menu cycles meeting nutritional and regulatory criteria.
• Meet or exceed budgetary guidelines and maintain records.
• Ensure staff are trained, properly uniformed and professional.
• Visit residents to assess food quality and adjust operations as needed.
