American Roofing & Waterproofing, LLC is seeking a highly experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) / Controller to join our executive leadership team in Phoenix. This role will be second in command to the CEO, overseeing daily operations, production, personnel, and project performance.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in roofing, commercial and multifamily, with a track record of leading multiple departments, controlling costs, and delivering projects on time and within budget, while

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of roofing industry experience, with commercial and multifamily focus.
• Experience in executive leadership and multi-department oversight.
• Strong knowledge of roofing systems and safety standards.
• Proven track record managing multimillion-dollar projects.
• Ability to drive efficiency and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and serve as second in command to the CEO.
• Direct commercial and multifamily roofing production.
• Lead operations managers, project managers, superintendents, foremen, and subcontractors.
• Oversee multiple large-scale roofing projects simultaneously.
• Manage production schedules, manpower, labor costs, material usage, and operational budgets.
• Establish accountability and performance standards across all departments.
• Monitor project profitability and implement cost-control measures.
• Coordinate with sales, estimating, accounting, and production departments.
• Ensure quality workmanship, customer satisfaction, and timely project completion.
• Develop operational strategies to increase efficiency, productivity, and company profitability.
• Oversee hiring, training, employee performance, and workforce development.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Work directly with the CEO on strategic planning, business development, and company expansion.
