Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to oversee Riverview and Trousdale in Carthage and Hartsville, TN. This CEO-development role partners with the CEO and medical staff to drive operational performance, quality, patient experience, workforce engagement, and financial stewardship.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO will develop leaders, ensure regulatory readiness, and position the hospital system for future CEO responsibilities in a small-hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required; MHA/MBA strongly preferred in healthcare administration or related field.
• Two years of COO-level experience at a similar facility or two years as senior hospital leader.
• Ability to lead through influence and develop leaders across departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive oversight and administrative direction for assigned hospital functions.
• Develop and monitor strategic plans to improve quality, safety, and patient experience.
• Lead budget development, cost management, and financial performance.
• Represent CEO in meetings and coordinate operations with medical staff and leaders.
• Ensure regulatory readiness and compliance across hospital departments.
• Grow workforce engagement and drive operational improvements and growth initiatives.
