In this role, the Executive Consultant will serve as a trusted thought partner to senior leaders by helping frame complex or undefined challenges, synthesize analysis, and translate insights into actionable, decision-ready recommendations. The Executive Consultant will lead regional strategic initiatives, support consulting practice infrastructure and governance, and build strong stakeholder partnerships that promote effective execution and sustainable outcomes. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable navigating ambiguity, driving transformation, leading complex initiatives, and translating insights into measurable organizational impact.

You can expect to:

  • Partner with operational leaders and stakeholders to translate strategies into executable plans, support adoption, and drive measurable outcomes.
  • Develop project approaches and work plans while monitoring progress, timelines, risks, dependencies, and outcomes.
  • Design and enhance consulting practice infrastructure, including governance, prioritization processes, dashboards, standardized workflows, and closeout processes.
  • Support transformation and innovation initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve organizational performance, evaluating new approaches, and helping scale successful practices across the region.
  • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the Regional Consulting and Innovation Practice through development of methodologies, tools, standards, and scalable approaches to consulting delivery.
  • Analyze regional performance, emerging risks, and strategic opportunities to support executive decision-making and prioritization.
  • Partner with analytics and operational teams to establish performance metrics, success measures, and impact indicators.
  • Facilitate committees and task forces to support alignment, decision-making, and execution.
  • Build trusted partnerships with internal leaders, Health Plan partners, and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare executive-ready presentations, recommendations, and communications, and represent executive leadership within established parameters.
What is required:

  • Five to seven years of experience in consulting, operations, or project management, preferably within a healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic and operational analysis and planning, including problem framing and financial, policy, and market assessments.
  • Demonstrated understanding of healthcare operations, clinical practice environments, or integrated care delivery.
  • Experience designing and implementing governance frameworks, operating models, and standardized workflows that improve transparency, accountability, and strategic alignment.
  • Strong strategic thinking and synthesis skills, including the ability to translate ambiguity into decision-ready recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and initiatives through completion while adapting to changing priorities.
  • Proven ability to build cross-functional relationships and influence decisions across diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, analytical, facilitation, negotiation, problem-solving, change management, and consensus-building skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Familiarity with KP HealthConnect and project tracking or collaboration tools such as SharePoint, Teams, or Planner is preferred.
