Job summary

Target Corp in Minneapolis, MN seeks a Director, Executive Communications to lead strategic messaging for the executive leadership team. You will craft speeches, op-eds, talking points and other communications to shape enterprise narratives and strengthen Target’s reputation.

You will provide real-time communications counsel, coach leaders, manage a high-impact workflow, and oversee the team’s planning and review processes.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of relevant communications experience.
• Direct, independent support of C-level executives or elected officials.
• Expertise in speech writing and persuasive storytelling.
• Ability to frame enterprise initiatives and advise leaders.

Responsibilities

• Own internal and external strategic positioning, planning and execution for LT members.
• Write speeches, talking points, op-eds, and other communications.
• Vet proactive and reactive speaking opportunities and advise accordingly.
• Provide real-time communications counsel and coaching to leaders.
• Lead team workflow and maintain high standards of collaboration.
