Target is seeking a Director, Executive Communication to shape internal and external messages for senior leaders in Minnesota. This role leads enterprise narratives, advises LT members, and ensures compelling storytelling across speeches, scripts, op-eds and social content.

You will partner with executives, manage complex communication programs, mentor teams, and uphold Target's values while delivering high-impact communications for a nationwide audience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant communications experience.
• Experience supporting C-level executives or elected officials.
• Expertise in persuasive storytelling and framing enterprise narratives.
• Trusted counselor and coach helping leaders convey a strong point of view.
• Ability to manage projects across complex organizations with multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Own internal and external strategic positioning for executive leaders you support.
• Develop and execute enterprise narratives for LT members you support.
• Write speeches, scripts, op-eds, and talking points for leaders.
• Lead vetting of proactive and reactive speaking opportunities and make recommendations.
• Provide real-time communications counsel and coaching.
• Understand and participate in workflow to ensure high standards of collaboration and quality work.
• Lead the planning and workflow for your team and adherence to review processes.
• Create and maintain a positive team culture aligned with Target values.
• Other duties as assigned.
