Placements24 seeks a Communications Director to lead our client’s communication strategy in East London, Eastern Cape. This executive role oversees internal and external communications, ensuring cohesive brand messaging and protecting reputation.

You will shape strategic plans, guide a team, and act as spokesperson when needed. The ideal candidate has a master's in a relevant field, 10+ years in communications, including leadership, with strong media relations and crisis management skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business Administration, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in communications, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful communication strategies for large organizations.
• Exceptional strategic thinking, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Extensive experience in media relations, crisis communications, and stakeholder management.
• Strong understanding of the South African media and business environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive corporate communication strategy aligned with organizational goals.
