Cincinnati Children’s Office of Academic Affairs and Career Development seeks an experienced communications professional to lead executive communications and elevate leadership visibility. Partner with senior leaders to craft strategic messaging, speeches, and presentations across internal and external audiences.

You will drive content strategy, plan stakeholder engagement, and coordinate cross-functional initiatives, with an emphasis on accuracy, impact, and collaboration.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 5+ years of work experience in executive communications in a corporate environment
  • Preferred: Experience developing communications for executives and/or board members
  • Preferred: Healthcare experience

  • Expected Starting Pay Range $76,336.00 - $97,489.60
  • Starting pay is based on experience, skills, and equity; exceptions may apply for highly qualified candidates. Additional pay (e.g., shift, on‑call, or weekend differentials) and benefits may apply. Annual pay may vary based on FTE status.
  • This position offers a remote work arrangement. Candidates must reside within 100 miles of Cincinnati and be available to attend occasional on‑site meetings, team events, and other business‑related activities as needed.

The salary range posted reflects a full-time schedule and will be prorated based on a 20-hour-per-week work schedule.

About This Role

Lead strategic internal and external executive communications that advance Cincinnati Children’s reputation and mission, strengthen leadership visibility and engage key audiences. This experienced communications professional partners closely with executives, leaders and Marketing & Communications to develop compelling content, elevate thought leadership, manage complex communication initiatives, and deliver high-impact projects with a high degree of independence, expertise and collaboration across the organization.

In This Role, You Will
  • Develop and deliver executive communications, partnering with senior leaders to create strategic executive visibility plans, write speeches, talking points, presentations, and leadership messaging that advances thought leadership.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, translating organizational priorities into clear, compelling executive communications for internal and external audiences.
  • Lead communication planning, content strategy, and stakeholder engagement to ensure consistent messaging across channels.
  • Drive executive, board and alumni engagement efforts while measuring impact and identifying opportunities to strengthen reach and influence.
Job Responsibilities
  • Content Creation- Produce accurate, Cincinnati Children’s-voiced, engaging executive content for a multitude of platforms. Participate in planning meetings, committees, training, and other enterprise-wide tasks as required. Strategically plans, monitors and adjusts long-term communications to support the goals of the organization and department.
  • Content Management- Writes enterprise-wide executive content for publishing internally or externally, monitors quality and manages vendors. Identifies opportunities for improvements and proposes solutions. Edits work of other team members.
  • Planning- Responsible for budget or large scope initiatives. Management of approved vendors to ensure content delivered to Cincinnati Children's standard and deadlines. May be responsible for managing publications.
  • Emergency communication response- Prepares content for senior M&C leadership approval concerning sensitive local/national/international topics. Strategically evaluates crisis communication plans and makes recommendations. Participates in crisis drills and activities.
Job Qualifications
