Waldorf Astoria is seeking an Executive Chef to oversee this prestigious Atlanta property.

Located in a prime Atlanta neighborhood, this 42-story tower offers 127 rooms, 47 residences, over 10,000 sq ft of meeting space, and 3 food and beverage outlets, including Brassica Restaurant, Bar, and In-Room Dining.

The Executive Chef will oversee all back-of-house food and beverage operations, reporting directly to the Director of Food & Beverage.

The ideal candidate is an exceptional leader with experience in a fast-paced environment, a talent for developing teams, and a passion for creating unique dining experiences. A minimum of 3 years of culinary management experience and a background in fine dining are required. Prior luxury hotel experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Direct all culinary operations, including meal production, food quality, safety standards, team performance, policy implementation, cost control, and profitability.
  • Create and implement new menus based on current food trends and regional tastes in collaboration with the Director of Food and Beverage.
  • Interact with guests to monitor satisfaction, address issues, and improve service.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol standards.
  • Perform management duties such as budgeting, reporting, and department oversight.
  • Develop team members through supervision, training, scheduling, and evaluations.
  • Recruit and train staff.
Qualifications

Mandatory

  • ServSafe Manager or equivalent sanitation certification.
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment.
  • Mathematical skills for recipes, ordering, and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency with computers and MS Office.
  • Ability to delegate, pay attention to detail, multitask, and remain patient.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Creativity and passion for excellence.
  • Organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Approachable, open-minded, and fair.
  • Flexible work hours.
  • Experience with Agilysys POS and additional languages is a plus.

Preferred experience includes retail operations and high-end hospitality management.
