Executive Chef - The Bradford Rooftop, Bridgewater, NJ

Join us as an Executive Chef / Kitchen Manager at The Bradford Fine Spirits & Small Plates, located at the AC Hotel by Marriott in Bridgewater, NJ. This role involves leading the kitchen team to prepare high-quality food, managing operations, and ensuring excellent guest experiences.

About The Bradford
  • Year-round indoor/outdoor rooftop bar and lounge atop NJ's only AC Marriott Hotel
  • Specializes in handcrafted cocktails, local brews, and creative small plates
  • Hosts private, catered events for 10 to 300 guests
  • Features outdoor fire pit and scenic views of the Watchung Mountain Range
  • Unique rooftop bar in Bridgewater and surrounding areas
Position Summary

As the lead member of our kitchen management team, your primary responsibility is to lead the line, train staff, and ensure the consistent preparation of high-quality food.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare hot food items efficiently while leading the kitchen line
  • Prepare and portion ingredients prior to cooking
  • Handle food plating and garnishing to ensure presentation quality
  • Build and develop the kitchen team through hiring and training
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and PAR levels
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements & Skills
  • At least 2+ years as an Executive Chef, Culinary Manager, or similar in a high-volume, scratch kitchen environment
  • Culinary degree or certification is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent work ethic and team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently or as part of a team
  • Engaging personality and professional appearance
