Job summary

Covenant Living Communities and Services is seeking an Executive Chef for Covenant Living of Golden Valley, MN. The role focuses on maintaining top quality and consistency in meal preparation and service for residents, guests, and staff, with a strong emphasis on sanitation and safety.

The Executive Chef will lead and train kitchen staff, manage daily operations, ensure menu planning and cost-control, and drive growth opportunities within a not-for-profit retirement community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Culinary Arts Degree preferred.
• Sanitation certification required or to be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Safe Food Handling certification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead food production and delivery following recipes and standards.
• Direct daily operations of food production, menu planning, purchasing, and inventory.
• Oversee food preparation, portioning, garnishing, and safe storage; address menu issues.
• Order food and equipment as needed to meet deadlines and goals.
• Ensure sanitation of kitchen, storage, and dining areas.
• Train and supervise chefs and dining staff; provide feedback and evaluations.
