Position Title: Executive Chef - Perth Amboy, NJ

Pay Grade: 12

Reports To: RDO

Salary: $75,000-$85,000

Job Summary: This individual oversees kitchen operations and directs meal preparation according to corporate guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plans menus based on established guidelines.
  2. Trains staff in food prep, safety, sanitation, and equipment operation.
  3. Maintains cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and areas.
  4. Manages inventory of supplies within guidelines, ensuring availability.
  5. Ensures compliance with health, sanitation, and safety regulations.
  6. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. A.S. degree or equivalent experience.
  2. 3-5 years of culinary/kitchen management experience.
  3. Knowledge of food trends, sanitation, cost controls, and presentation.
  4. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and internet use.
  5. Catering experience is a plus.
  6. Experience in high-volume, complex foodservice operations is desirable.
  7. ServSafe certification is highly desirable.
