Your Role:

Our successful Executive Chef promotes outstanding relations with all guests and fellow Team Members by providing service in a friendly, swift, and responsible manner. They thrive in a team base environment where everyone consistently uplifts and supports each other through detail oriented work and regularly doing what it takes to ensure all necessary work completed. The ideal candidate will be at least 18 years of age with a culinary degree or certificate and 3-5 years of experience in kitchen leadership role. This position will require ABC TIPS and Serve Safe Manager Certifications once hired.

Keys to Success in this Role:

  • Ensure all policies, procedures and systems are completed that maintain Morton’s recipe and presentation standard for food and beverage.
  • Proactively evaluate and uphold all company food safety and handling standards.
  • Identify environmental factors to create guest enjoyment and ensure that the kitchen employees effectively executes them.
  • Guarantee a high level of cleanliness throughout the restaurant.
  • Engage in ongoing development of kitchen employees while holding them accountable for performance and maintaining standards. This includes new hire orientation, DSG certification/re-certification, and performance evaluations; apply coaching and counseling to achieve desired employee behavior that is consistent with company policies.
  • Determine daily prep needs; create prep lists for kitchen employees to follow; ensure all productions is being tracked daily for yield/production.
  • Participate in mid-month and end of month inventory controls.
  • Create work schedules for the kitchen employees.
  • Conduct regular kitchen employee meetings; participate in pre-shift meetings and participate in management meetings.
  • Seek and hire the best employees in the industry.
  • Resolve conflict while maintaining positive working relationships.
  • Understand financial statements and be able to accurately report financial information.
  • Able to perfectly execute all menu items and train employees on how to properly execute and follow recipes.
  • Promotes outstanding customer relations.

Qualified candidates must be able to complete the following physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodations:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to stand and walk for 6-8 hours.
