Job summary

Rosewood Hotel Group in New York City seeks an Executive Chef to lead all kitchen and stewarding operations at The Carlyle and related venues. You will craft daily and seasonal menus, oversee production, ensure safety and sanitation, and manage food and labor costs within financial guidelines.

As a senior leader, you will recruit and mentor culinary teams, maintain strong vendor relations, and deliver distinctive dining experiences for guests and events in a five-star environment.

Qualifications

• Must have eight+ years kitchen experience in luxury/ultra-luxury environments.
• Minimum five years in a similar role within five-star/five-diamond properties; union experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen and stewarding operations and set the culinary vision for The Carlyle.
• Develop daily and seasonal menus; oversee production planning and recipe testing.
• Manage food and labor costs, purchasing, inventory and waste within budgeted guidelines.
• Safeguard food safety, sanitation and health-inspection readiness; ensure compliance with standards.
• Lead recruitment, scheduling, training, performance management and succession planning for culinary and stewarding staff.
• Engage with guests during service periods and collaborate with Catering to develop special menus.
