Job Summary:
As the Executive Chef, you will oversee kitchen operations, maintain a safe and sanitary work environment, and prepare or direct meal preparations according to corporate guidelines. This role is ideal for an energetic, entrepreneurial culinary professional.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan regular and modified menus following established guidelines
• Follow standardized recipes, portioning, presentation standards; complete daily production worksheets and waste logs; taste meals for quality
• Train kitchen staff in food prep, safety, equipment operation, and sanitation standards
• Establish and maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and work areas
• Manage inventory of food and supplies within guidelines, ensuring necessary stock is available
• Decide on the utilization of leftover food products within company policies
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations, passing audits
• Follow safety policies and participate in departmental meetings and professional development

Preferred Qualifications:

• A.S. degree or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience
• Extensive catering experience a plus
• Experience in high-volume, complex foodservice operations
• Institutional and batch cooking experience
• Hands-on chef experience required
• Knowledge of food trends, sanitation, food costs, and presentation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet use
• ServSafe certification preferred
