Job Description: Executive Chef

We are hiring an Executive Chef to create meals for one of the best retirement communities in California.

Responsibilities
  • Exceed the expectations of every guest, every time
  • Train, coach, and direct the culinary team, setting high standards
  • Maintain and innovate the menu with frequent changes
  • Ensure excellence and quality of the current menu
  • Build respectful relationships with team members while holding them accountable
  • Control food costs, labor costs, inventory, and manage service standards with attention to detail
Qualifications
  • Degree in Culinary Arts or 8 years of culinary experience
  • At least 5+ years' experience as an Executive Chef managing kitchen staff
  • Strong leadership qualities: friendly, coaching mentality, leading by example, upholding culinary standards
  • Proven ability to maintain standards and exceed expectations
  • Warm, outgoing, and compassionate personality, comfortable engaging with guests
  • ServSafe Manager certification and Certified Executive Chef preferred
