Job Summary

As the Executive Chef, you will oversee kitchen operations, maintain a safe and sanitary environment, and ensure meal preparation aligns with corporate standards. This role is ideal for an energetic culinary professional with an entrepreneurial spirit.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan menus according to guidelines.
  2. Follow standardized recipes, portioning, and presentation standards; complete production and waste logs; taste meals for quality.
  3. Train staff in food prep, safety, equipment operation, and sanitation.
  4. Establish and maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and work areas.
  5. Manage inventory to ensure necessary supplies are available.
  6. Make decisions on leftover food utilization within company guidelines.
  7. Comply with health and sanitation regulations and pass audits.
  8. Follow safety policies and participate in staff meetings and professional development.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. A.S. degree or equivalent experience.
  2. 5+ years of culinary/kitchen management experience.
  3. Catering experience is a plus.
  4. Experience in high-volume, complex foodservice operations.
  5. Institutional and batch cooking experience.
  6. Hands-on chef experience required.
  7. Knowledge of food trends, sanitation, cost controls, and presentation.
  8. Computer proficiency in MS Office, email, and internet.
  9. Willingness to participate in client satisfaction activities.
  10. ServSafe certification preferred.
