Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group USA company, is seeking an Executive Chef to lead and inspire a high-volume kitchen. You will drive culinary excellence, team growth, and cost efficiency in a healthcare setting, delivering quality meals that support patient and visitor experiences.

You will oversee menu execution, safety compliance, inventory control, and staff coaching, while collaborating with operations and clients to elevate dining services across sites.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent culinary experience.
• Five or more years of progressive culinary or kitchen leadership experience.
• Previous Executive Chef, Chef de Cuisine, Executive Sous Chef, or high-volume culinary management experience.
• Hands-on leader who works alongside the team.
• Experience managing food costs, inventory, production, sanitation, and presentation.
• High-volume, complex foodservice experience preferred; catering/large-batch experience is a plus.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Basic experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and email.
• ServSafe certification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily kitchen operations and set standards for food quality, presentation, safety, and sanitation.
• Create and execute regular and modified menus within guidelines.
• Train, coach, and develop the culinary team.
• Ensure recipes, portions, production records, and waste logs are accurate.
• Taste and inspect meals to maintain consistent quality.
• Manage food and supply inventory while controlling costs and reducing waste.
• Oversee kitchen equipment, storage areas, cleaning schedules, and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations and company standards.
• Collaborate with operations and client leadership to improve satisfaction.
• Stay current on culinary trends and bring fresh ideas to the operation.

Are you a proven Executive Chef from a restaurant, hotel, resort, catering, corporate dining, or high-volume foodservice operation? If you’re ready to bring your culinary leadership into healthcare, this could be a great next step.

Healthcare experience is not required. We’re looking for a hands-on culinary leader who can run a strong kitchen, develop a team, control costs, and consistently deliver great food. You’ll have the opportunity to use your culinary experience in a stable, purpose-driven environment where your work makes a difference every day.

What You’ll Do:

• Partner with operations and client leadership to improve satisfaction and the overall dining experience
• Stay current on culinary and catering trends and bring fresh ideas to the operation

What We’re Looking For:

• Associate degree or equivalent culinary experience
• Five or more years of progressive culinary or kitchen leadership experience
• Previous Executive Chef, Chef de Cuisine, Executive Sous Chef, or high-volume culinary management experience
• A hands-on leader who is comfortable working alongside the team
• Experience managing food costs, inventory, production, sanitation, and presentation
• High-volume, complex foodservice experience strongly preferrede
• Catering and large-batch cooking experience is a plus
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Basic experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and email
• ServSafe certification is highly preferred
