Job summary

HCA Healthcare's Timpanogos Regional Hospital is seeking an Executive Chef to oversee food preparation for patients, cafeteria, and doctors’ dining room, and for catering using health-conscious techniques, recipes, menus and presentation. The role requires knowledge of Food and Nutrition Services, regulatory requirements, and strong communication with management and staff.

It involves supervising food production, planning menus, and ensuring the highest level of customer service in a hospital

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of Food and Nutrition Services policies and procedures
• Experience overseeing food service operations and sanitation
• Ability to manage staff, scheduling and training

Responsibilities

• Directly responsible for food preparation for patients, cafeteria, and doctors’ dining room and special requests
• Develops work standards, sanitation procedures, and personal hygiene requirements in line with regulations
• Inspects areas, equipment, and staff for health compliance and corrects violations
• Manages equipment and supplies and secures property with Security Department
• Participates in menu planning with Director and Clinical Nutrition Manager
• Determines type and quantity of foods to be prepared
• Exhibits proficiency in culinary techniques
• Performs duties assigned by supervisor in a cooperative and timely manner
• Serves as a department role model and maintains high customer service
• Supervises breakfast, lunch, and dinner and special events
• Supervises hot production staff including hiring, training, and evaluating
• Conducts staff meetings and coordinates scheduling for efficient production
• Performs other duties as assigned and adheres to Code of Conduct and Mission
