Red Rabbit is seeking an Executive Chef/District Manager to oversee high-volume school kitchens in the NY region. You will lead culinary teams, ensure culturally relevant and nutritious meals, and collaborate with school administrations to maintain service excellence.

The role demands hands-on leadership, DoH-certified food handling, and the ability to travel between NYC metro kitchens while upholding food safety and budget controls. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Culinary Arts, Operations, or Management.
• 5+ years of professional culinary experience in a fast-paced role.
• 2+ years in a senior management role of hiring, budget & inventory management.
• Must have DoH Food Handler's certificate.
• Experience managing and training exempt and non-exempt staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel between multiple kitchens in the NYC Metro area.
• Strong organizational, detail-oriented, and analytical abilities.
• Reliable, team player, and able to work in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Culinary leadership: lead and coach chefs and kitchen staff to ensure excellence and efficiency.
• Customer service: build strong relationships with school administration and ensure on-time, accurate meals.
• Kitchen organization: manage JIT inventory, ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with inspections.
