Executive Chef & Director of Food and Beverage

Are you a passionate culinary leader ready to shape the future of dining in a luxury senior living community? We’re seeking an Executive Chef & Director of Food and Beverage to bring creativity, operational excellence, and heartfelt hospitality to our vibrant dining venues. This role involves leading the kitchen, developing teams, and setting standards for excellence through action.

You will oversee two full-service restaurants with globally inspired, seasonal menus, a specialty coffee bar, and a filler bar concept, managing a talented team of chefs, baristas, bartenders, and service professionals. The position is full-time, salaried, on-site at Mather Place in Wilmette, IL, with some weekends and flexible scheduling for events.

Essential Functions
  • Leadership and Strategic Oversight: Oversee culinary and F&B operations, mentor teams, and collaborate with leadership to enhance resident satisfaction.
  • Culinary Innovation: Design seasonal menus with scratch cooking, partner with pastry for desserts and catering.
  • Dining Experience: Ensure high-quality service, train FOH and HOH teams, and engage during peak times.
  • Financial Management: Manage budgets, track KPIs, and boost revenue through events.
Qualifications and Skills

Required:

  • Culinary Arts Degree or Professional Certification (e.g., CEC, ProChef)
  • Minimum 7 years of leadership in high-end dining operations
  • Proven team leadership, financial acumen, sanitation certifications, and tech proficiency
