Job Summary:

Seeking an organized culinary leader to oversee daily kitchen operations, including recruiting, training, and food prep. This role involves delivering high-quality food, developing staff, and ensuring satisfaction while managing budgets and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead culinary production, ensure food quality, safety, and team performance
  2. Design appealing food presentations and develop seasonal menus
  3. Source fresh ingredients and maintain consistency in food standards
  4. Research customer preferences to incorporate local flavors
  5. Prepare and cook various foods, demonstrate techniques to staff
  6. Supervise staff, enforce safety and sanitation standards
  7. Manage purchasing, inventory, and food storage

Business & Financial Management:

  1. Develop and execute business strategies aligned with organizational goals
  2. Control expenses, monitor budgets, and optimize costs
  3. Analyze operational data to improve performance
  4. Oversee inventory and procurement processes

Customer Service & Team Management:

  1. Ensure resident satisfaction through excellent service
  2. Foster a positive team environment and lead staff meetings
  3. Provide coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations
  4. Encourage employee engagement and fair treatment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 5 years of culinary management experience
  • Experience in catering, high-volume operations, or institutional cooking
  • Hands-on chef experience required
  • Knowledge of food trends, sanitation, and cost controls
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety certifications (ServSafe preferred)
