Job Summary:

Seeking an organized culinary leader who can oversee daily kitchen operations, including recruiting, training, and food prep. The Executive Chef will demonstrate culinary skills, develop and empower staff, and focus on resident, employee, and client satisfaction while managing financial performance, food safety, and sanitation standards.

Leading Culinary Operations:
  • Lead food preparation, quality, presentation, safety, and team performance.
  • Design food presentation and decorative displays.
  • Develop menus with seasonal and local ingredients.
  • Source fresh ingredients and ensure product freshness.
  • Maintain consistency and quality control.
  • Research customer preferences to innovate menu offerings.
  • Prepare and cook a variety of foods, including special events.
  • Train staff on new techniques and equipment.
  • Supervise food prep staff and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Monitor food quality and safety protocols.
  • Manage purchasing, receiving, and storage standards.
Business & Financial Skills:
  • Align community strategies with client objectives.
  • Control expenses including food and labor costs.
  • Develop purchasing guidelines and monitor operational costs.
  • Analyze financial data to adjust business plans.
  • Manage budgets and forecast expenses.
  • Identify revenue opportunities and control costs.
  • Oversee inventory and staffing based on volume forecasts.
Exceptional Customer Service:
  • Achieve 100% resident satisfaction through training and engagement.
  • Engage professionally with residents and staff.
  • Enhance service quality through feedback and coaching.
  • Empower staff to deliver excellent hospitality.
  • Seek continuous improvement based on resident feedback.
  • Handle guest issues promptly and effectively.
Team Building and Management:
  • Lead regular team meetings and set performance goals.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • A.S. degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years in culinary/kitchen management, including catering and high-volume operations.
  • Hands-on chef experience required.
  • Knowledge of food trends, sanitation, and cost controls.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and internet tools.
  • ServSafe certification preferred.
