Job Summary:

We seek an organized, inspiring leader to manage daily kitchen operations, including recruiting, training, and food prep. The Executive Chef will demonstrate culinary talents, develop staff, and focus on resident, employee, and client satisfaction while achieving financial goals and adhering to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead culinary production, ensuring food quality, safety, and team performance.
  • Design and present decorative food displays and develop menus with seasonal ingredients.
  • Source fresh ingredients, monitor product freshness, and ensure consistency.
  • Research customer preferences to incorporate local flavors.
  • Prepare and cook a variety of foods, demonstrate new techniques, and supervise staff.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Manage food costs, inventory, and purchasing standards.
Business & Financial Management:
  • Develop and execute strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Control expenses including food and labor costs.
  • Analyze financial data to adjust business plans and optimize operations.
  • Manage departmental budgets and monitor costs.
Customer Service & Team Management:
  • Create resident satisfaction through staff training and engagement.
  • Engage with residents professionally, handling feedback and complaints.
  • Lead team meetings, set performance goals, and foster a positive work environment.
  • Provide ongoing training, coaching, and performance feedback.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A.S. degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive culinary management experience.
  • Extensive catering and high-volume foodservice experience preferred.
  • Hands-on chef experience required.
  • Knowledge of food trends, sanitation, and cost controls.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with safety certifications like ServSafe (highly desirable).
