Job Summary:

The Executive Chef will lead daily kitchen operations, including recruiting, training, and food preparation. Responsibilities include ensuring food quality, safety, sanitation, and staff development, while meeting financial goals and maintaining high resident satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead culinary production, ensuring food quality, safety, and presentation standards.
  • Develop menus incorporating seasonal and local ingredients.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
  • Manage food costs, inventory, and purchasing procedures.
  • Foster a team environment focused on exceptional resident service and staff development.

Qualifications:

  • A.S. or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive culinary management experience, preferably in high-volume, complex foodservice operations.
  • Extensive catering and institutional cooking experience preferred.
  • Hands-on chef experience required.
  • Knowledge of food trends, sanitation, and cost controls.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and email.
  • ServSafe certification is highly desirable.
