Job Summary:

Lead daily kitchen operations, including staff recruitment, training, food prep, and ensuring quality and safety standards. Develop menus, monitor costs, and maintain high resident satisfaction while managing financial targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee culinary production, quality, safety, and team performance.
  2. Design appealing food presentations and develop seasonal menus.
  3. Source fresh ingredients and ensure consistency and quality.
  4. Research resident preferences and incorporate local flavors.
  5. Cook and demonstrate techniques, supervise staff, and enforce sanitation standards.
  6. Manage budgets, control costs, and oversee inventory.
  7. Lead team meetings, set performance goals, and foster engagement.
  8. Ensure exceptional customer service and handle resident feedback and complaints.
  9. Develop staff through coaching, training, and performance reviews.
  10. Maintain a safe, compliant, and positive work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of progressive culinary management experience.
  • Extensive catering and high-volume operation experience.
  • Hands-on chef skills and knowledge of food trends.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety certifications like ServSafe.
