Job Summary: Lead daily kitchen operations, including recruiting, training, food prep, and ensuring safety and sanitation standards. Develop menus, oversee staff, and manage costs to maximize resident satisfaction and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage culinary production, quality, safety, and team performance.
  • Create attractive food presentations and develop seasonal menus.
  • Source fresh ingredients and ensure consistency in food quality.
  • Research resident preferences to incorporate local flavors.
  • Supervise food preparation and staff activities.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Business & Financial Management:

  • Develop and implement business strategies aligned with the community’s mission.
  • Control costs, manage budgets, and monitor financial metrics.
  • Oversee inventory, purchasing, and staffing based on forecasted needs.

Customer Service & Team Management:

  • Create resident satisfaction through excellent service and team engagement.
  • Train and coach staff, foster teamwork, and handle guest feedback.
  • Lead team meetings and develop performance goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A.S. or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive culinary management, catering experience a plus.
  • High-volume, complex foodservice experience.
  • Hands-on chef experience required.
  • Knowledge of food trends, sanitation, and cost controls.
  • Computer proficiency (MS Office, email, internet).
  • ServSafe certification preferred.
