Job Summary:

Seeking an organized, inspirational leader to oversee daily kitchen operations, including recruiting, training, and food prep. The Executive Chef will demonstrate culinary skills, develop staff, and improve satisfaction among residents, staff, and clients, while managing budgets and ensuring food safety and sanitation standards.

Leading Culinary Operations:
  • Lead daily meal preparation, ensure food quality, presentation, safety, sanitation, and team performance.
  • Design food presentation and decorative displays.
  • Develop menus based on product availability, incorporating seasonal ingredients.
  • Source fresh ingredients, monitor produce and meat freshness, and maintain consistency.
  • Research resident preferences and create menus with local flavors.
  • Cook a variety of foods, demonstrate techniques, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with health standards.
  • Guide and monitor staff performance, enforce safety protocols, and oversee food purchasing and storage.
Business & Financial Management:
  • Participate in strategic planning aligned with client goals.
  • Manage department expenses, develop purchasing guidelines, and analyze financial data.
  • Develop and control budgets, monitor costs, and oversee inventory and staffing based on forecasted needs.
Customer Service Excellence:
  • Achieve 100% resident satisfaction through staff training and resource provision.
  • Maintain professional engagement with residents and staff, improve service quality, and handle guest feedback and complaints.
Team Building and Management:
  • Lead team meetings, set performance and operational goals, and foster employee engagement.
  • Provide ongoing training, coaching, and performance feedback to staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of progressive culinary management experience, catering experience a plus.
  • Experience in high-volume, complex foodservice operations, institutional and batch cooking, hands-on chef experience.
  • Knowledge of current food and catering trends, quality standards, sanitation, and cost controls.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ServSafe certification preferred.
