Job Summary:

Lead daily kitchen operations, including recruiting, training, and food prep. Showcase culinary talents, develop staff, and ensure satisfaction while meeting financial goals and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee food production, quality, safety, and team performance.
  • Create decorative displays and develop menus with seasonal ingredients.
  • Source fresh ingredients, ensure consistency, and research customer preferences.
  • Prepare and cook foods, demonstrate techniques, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with health standards.
Business & Financial Management:
  • Develop and implement business strategies aligned with the community’s mission.
  • Manage expenses, develop budgets, and control costs.
  • Analyze financial data to adjust operations for efficiency.
Customer Service & Team Management:
  • Create resident satisfaction through training and engagement.
  • Engage with residents professionally, handle feedback, and improve service.
  • Lead team meetings, set goals, and develop staff through coaching and training.
Qualifications:
  • A.S. or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years in culinary/kitchen management, catering experience a plus.
  • High-volume, complex foodservice experience preferred.
  • Hands-on chef experience required.
  • Knowledge of food trends, sanitation, and cost controls.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and internet use.
  • ServSafe certification preferred.
