Job Summary:

The Executive Chef will lead daily kitchen operations, including recruiting, training, food prep, and ensuring food quality and safety. They will develop menus, supervise staff, and manage budgets, aiming to maximize resident satisfaction and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead culinary production, ensure food quality and safety, and manage team performance and costs.
  • Develop and innovate menus with local ingredients.
  • Supervise food prep and presentation, conduct inspections, and maintain standards.
  • Research customer preferences and incorporate seasonal flavors.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Manage purchasing, inventory, and food storage.

Business & Financial Management:

  • Develop and execute business strategies aligned with the community’s mission.
  • Control expenses and analyze financial data to optimize operations.
  • Manage budgets, forecast, and monitor costs.

Customer Service & Team Management:

  • Create resident satisfaction through excellent service and team engagement.
  • Lead team meetings, set performance goals, and provide coaching.
  • Foster a fair, engaging, and supportive work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of culinary management experience, catering experience preferred.
  • High-volume, complex foodservice experience desirable.
  • Hands-on chef experience required.
  • Knowledge of food trends, sanitation, and cost controls.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related tools.
  • ServSafe certification is a plus.
