Take the lead as the Executive Chef & B at Embassy Suites by Hilton Miami Airport, where your culinary expertise and vision will redefine our guest experience. In this dynamic role, you’ll oversee both the F&B and culinary program, crafting innovative menus and beverage pairings catering to a diverse clientele. The Embassy Suites by Hilton Miami Airport, located just half a mile from Miami International Airport and less than 10 minutes to downtown Miami, offers 318 rooms, 12,000 sq ft of meeting space, Complimentary Cooked-to-Order Breakfast, Evening Reception, In-Suite Dining, and Grill 305, featuring the finest steaks and casual Miami hotel dining! We seek a talented Chef with at least 4 years of supervisory/management experience, ready to advance their career.

An Executive Chef & B directs and organizes the activities of the Food & Beverage Departments, including kitchens, restaurants, banquets, and bars, to maintain high standards of food and beverage quality, service, and marketing, maximizing profits through outstanding customer service. Responsible for all food planning, preparation, production, and control across all food outlets and banquet facilities, ensuring Hilton's standards of quality.

What will I be doing?

  • Plan and direct the administration and planning functions of the Food & Beverage Department to meet daily operational needs.
  • Assign and delegate responsibilities for various food and beverage sub-departments such as restaurants, kitchens, and bars, including scheduling to achieve profitable results.
  • Assist with creating and merchandising attractive menus to attract target markets, establishing and achieving profit objectives, and setting standards for quality, service, cleanliness, and promotions to maximize profitability.
  • Implement controls over food, beverage, and labor costs, monitor budgets, and ensure expenditures stay within limits, including achieving budgeted revenue, labor costs, and operational expenses.
  • Review guest satisfaction regularly, recommend operational and marketing adjustments as needed, and resolve food quality and service complaints.
  • Develop operational tools and incidentals such as budgeting, forecasting, purchase specifications, recipes, menu abstracts, food production controls, and job descriptions, with department head assistance.
  • Ensure compliance with Hilton policies, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Oversee hiring, training, supervision, development, discipline, and counseling of culinary and restaurant team members according to Hilton policies.
  • Monitor team performance, product quality, and workflow, fostering continuous improvement.
  • Audit storeroom items and direct inventory to maintain quality and safety standards, enforcing health and safety procedures across kitchens and storage areas.
  • Manage special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
