Role Overview

Sodexo is currently seeking a dynamic Executive Chef to lead our culinary operations at White Horse Village in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania. White Horse Village is a premier continuing care retirement community (CCRC) situated on a scenic, 96-acre campus in Newtown Square, just 20 miles west of Philadelphia. Nestled near Ridley Creek State Park, Longwood Gardens, Valley Forge National Historical Park, King of Prussia Mall, and Center City Philadelphia, it offers residents both natural beauty and convenient urban access.

The Executive Chef will oversee a culinary team of approximately 10 professionals and a utility team of 8, managing all aspects of food production, quality, safety, and service across multiple dining venues. Typical shift is 9:00am-6:00pm, may vary with every other weekend coverage.


What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute innovative, nutritious, and appealing menus tailored to resident preferences and dietary needs

  • Ensure rigorous food safety and sanitation standards are consistently met and exceeded

  • Lead, mentor, and engage culinary and utility staff to foster a positive, resident-focused culture

  • Plan and execute special events and chef dinners, providing elevated dining experiences that delight residents and guests

  • Collaborate closely with wellness and care teams to support resident health and satisfaction

  • Manage inventory, budget, and vendor relationships to optimize operational efficiency and quality

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
