Role Overview

Sodexo is looking for a talented Executive Chef 2 to lead culinary operations at Martin Luther King Jr. Community Hospital in Los Angeles, CA. This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a healthcare setting while showcasing your leadership and culinary expertise. What You'll Do
  • Implement and standardize all culinary systems and procedures for the hospital.
  • FMS: Monitoring, audits, implementation, and standardization for new menus.
  • Procurement: Work with vendors on procurement items. Responsible for purchasing management and financial audits.
  • Improve and standardize catering and banquet services, create menus based on client needs.
  • Implement innovative and fresh ideas in retail, catering, and patient services.

  • A strong culinary background, with the demonstrated ability to stay current with new culinary trends.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest standards and implement company policies.
  • Strong management skills and previous experience working in a high-volume facility.
  • Menu planning experience and a strong understanding of current culinary trends.
  • ServSafe certification, working knowledge of HACCP, and experience with health and safety audits.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement: Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum Management Experience: 2 years.
Minimum Functional Experience: 2 years in food or culinary services, including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
