Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Executive Chef to lead the culinary operations at Turnberry Ocean Colony. This full-time, on-site role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality, creativity, and service are consistently delivered. The Executive Chef will oversee menu planning, ingredient sourcing, kitchen staff leadership, budgeting, and compliance with all health and safety regulations. This role is key to providing a refined and memorable dining experience for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all kitchen operations to ensure excellence in food quality, presentation, and service
  • Develop and implement innovative menus that reflect luxury standards and highlight seasonal, locally sourced ingredients
  • Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive, efficient, and professional work environment
  • Manage food and kitchen inventory, ordering, and cost controls in alignment with budgetary guidelines
  • Collaborate with leadership on new culinary concepts, special events, and promotional initiatives
  • Ensure full compliance with health, sanitation, and safety regulations; maintain a clean and organized kitchen
  • Drive creativity and continuously evolve the dining experience through menu enhancements and presentation
  • Supervise kitchen finances and labor schedules
  • Train junior personnel and maintain high standards of culinary execution
  • Play a key role in launching new dining concepts and operational improvements

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or higher in Culinary Arts (or equivalent professional certification)
  • 10+ years of progressive culinary experience, including roles in high-volume or luxury kitchens
  • Proven success as an Executive Chef or in a senior leadership culinary role
  • Experience supervising and developing kitchen teams
  • Demonstrated success in budget management, cost control, and procurement
  • Experience opening new restaurants or launching new dining concepts strongly preferred
  • Expertise in gourmet cooking, menu development, and food presentation
  • Strong working knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen compliance
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Experience in high-end residential or luxury dining is a significant plus
