Job Description

Forefront is a growing leader in healthcare food services, providing exceptional culinary experiences across healthcare settings. We are committed to enriching the lives of those we serve by offering high-quality meals prepared with care and attention to individual needs. We are currently seeking an Executive Chef to join our team in Danville, PA and contribute to enhancing the dining experience for our residents in a Senior Living Community.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and direct the culinary team and management staff.
  • Assist in the preparation and design of all food and drink menus.
  • Collaborate with dietitians to create menus tailored for residents.
  • Produce high-quality plates with attention to design and flavor.
  • Ensure efficient kitchen operations while maintaining high standards.
  • Lead and develop the culinary team, managing conflicts and performance.
  • Manage and train kitchen staff, establish work schedules.
  • Order supplies and maintain proper inventory levels.
  • Enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards.
  • Maintain a positive and professional work environment.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef.
  • Strong understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment.
  • Excellent kitchen and staff management skills.
  • Ability to handle emergencies effectively.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices.
  • Proficiency with computer software (G-Suite, MS Office, management software, POS).
  • Bachelor's degree in culinary science or related field is a plus.
  • 3+ years culinary, cooking, and kitchen management experience (preferred).
