EXECUTIVE CHEF AT CANTINA MONARCA IN GREATER SEATTLE, WA!

Cantina Monarca offers a progressive take on traditional Mexican cuisine with a coastal, authentic flair. The menu features locally sourced and premium fresh ingredients, including handmade tortillas, wagyu skirt steak asada, and sushi grade hamachi ceviche. Culinary offerings are complemented by an elevated tequila lounge highlighting specialty tequila and mezcal cocktails. The interior is eloquently designed with hand-placed stones, awe-inspiring light fixtures, free-form wood, and lush greenery, designed by internationally renowned architect Gulla Jonsdottir.

Cantina Monarca opened to acclaim in 2023 and is part of elev8 Hospitality Group, a second-generation family-owned business founded by hospitality entrepreneur Bernie Garcia. elev8 Hospitality features local favorite Moctezuma’s restaurants with future growth plans on the horizon!

The team is looking for an Executive Chef who is passionate about ingredient-driven Mexican cuisine! This role will be helming the kitchen, including menu development, leading and mentoring line staff, BOH administration, and financial accountability. elev8 prides itself on being a high-energy, positive, and optimistic group. Ideal candidates should have a similar management approach, be fully versed in progressive Mexican cuisine, and comfortable speaking Spanish. Experience with elevated Mexican cuisine in Michelin-rated, James Beard recognized, and/or World’s 50 Best restaurants is required. This is an excellent opportunity for a Chef seeking tangible growth as the brand expands!

Compensation includes a competitive base salary in the $90-$110k range, with room to increase up to $120k for candidates with proven extensive experience in modern Mexican cuisine within respected Michelin, World's 50 Best, or James Beard recognized kitchens. Additional benefits include a bonus plan, medical benefits, PTO, and relocation assistance.
