Job summary

Rainforest Cafe is seeking an accomplished Executive Chef to lead our culinary team in a high‑volume, guest‑driven environment. You will mentor the kitchen, uphold top‑tier food quality, safety, and consistency while driving operational excellence across all BOH functions.

You will manage labor and costs, oversee inventories, and shape a culture of accountability and talent growth. This hands‑on leadership role rewards performance with growth opportunities and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Culinary Management experience, with at least 2 years as an Executive Chef in a high‑volume dine environment.
  • Strong knowledge of back‑of‑house operations including staff supervision, inventory, cost control and product quality.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and conflict resolution skills.
  • Stable work history with a record of accountability and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures excellence in guest satisfaction through a hands‑on, lead‑by‑example management style.
  • Manages all back‑of‑house staff in a high‑volume kitchen, with ongoing training and development.
  • Achieves or exceeds budgeted labor and other cost centers through proper planning and execution.
  • Oversees weekly and monthly inventories, and ordering of food and supplies.
  • Maintains sanitation procedures and workstation organization compliant with OSHA.

Responsibilities
  • Ensures excellence in guest satisfaction through commitment to a "Do Whatever It Takes Attitude" and a hands‑on, lead by example management style
  • Management of all back of house staff in a high‑volume kitchen, including ongoing training, development, and follow up
  • Achieve or exceed budgeted labor and other cost centers through proper planning and execution
  • Oversee weekly and monthly inventories, and ordering of food and supplies
  • Maintain sanitation procedures and organization of work area adhering to all OSHA regulations
Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of Culinary Management experience, with at least 2 years as an Executive Chef in a full‑service, high‑volume dining establishment
  • Strong knowledge and attention to detail on back of the house operations including staff supervision, inventory controls and food/labor cost, and product quality
  • Strong communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills
  • Stable and progressive work history; Strong work ethic
