Job summary

HHS Culinary and Nutrition Solutions, LLC (USA) is seeking a seasoned executive or sous chef to lead a healthcare dining program at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center. You will direct food production, maintain high quality and safety, and collaborate with dietitians to meet patient dietary needs.

You will recruit and develop staff, manage costs, and drive patient and staff satisfaction through exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree from an accredited culinary program.
  • 5+ years experience as a sous or executive chef in healthcare, fine dining, hotels/resorts, or senior living.
  • Proficiency with computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and ordering platforms.
  • Willingness to relocate for promotion opportunities.
  • Familiarity with OSHA, HACCP procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Build a well-trained and motivated kitchen team ensuring high-quality food with safety and sanitation standards.
  • Provide leadership that fosters morale, quality, and respect within the team.
  • Develop creative menus aligned with market trends and patient dietary needs.
  • Lead recruiting, training, scheduling, and development of staff.
  • Manage forecasting, recipe costing, inventory, ordering, production, and payroll within budget.
