Aba, the Mediterranean restaurant with a California influence, will open in Nashville’s Wedgewood/Houston neighborhood in Summer 2025. Led by Top Chef Alum Chef Partner CJ Jacobson, this will be Aba’s fourth location, with others in Austin, TX, Chicago, IL, and Miami, FL.

Aba is coming to Nashville and is hiring an EXECUTIVE CHEF!

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee BOH operations, including purchasing, inventory, and food cost management
  • Lead and mentor hourly and management teams, fostering our Culture of Caring
  • Research, develop, and implement seasonal menus and new items in collaboration with divisional leaders
  • Ensure effective BOH training in partnership with trainers and chefs
  • Conduct quarterly audits of BOH procedures and systems
  • Partner with chefs to purchase and order supplies
  • Maintain and review recipe books with GM and management team
  • Develop and manage recipe costing with relevant teams
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and developing BOH staff
  • Promote teamwork and positive working relationships
  • Handle guest, vendor, and employee challenges with tact and courtesy
  • Work various shifts and locations, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and travel as needed

Physical Requirements:

  • Move and lift up to 10 pounds regularly, up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Executive Chef experience in a full-service restaurant
  • Leadership and team development skills
  • Proficiency in managing BOH systems

Salary Range: USD $70,000 - $100,000 per year.
