Job summary

Celebrity Cruises is seeking an Executive Chef to lead the ship's galley operations and ensure adherence to company standards. The role targets guest satisfaction, shareholder value, and employee engagement while maintaining safety and environmental practices.

The Executive Chef will supervise a large culinary team, align with corporate targets, and perform duties in a fast-paced, multicultural cruise environment, with strong emphasis on food quality and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Five years minimum as Executive Chef in a world class kitchen leading a large team.
  • Excellent platform skills; able to engage a large audience.
  • Strong command of global cuisine and kitchen leadership.
  • Culinary school degree highly preferred from an accredited university.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure culinary standards and procedures are executed consistently.
  • Monitor food quality in all operational areas and take corrective action to guarantee guest satisfaction.
  • Conduct pre-service line inspections and tastings across main galley, specialty restaurants, and buffet areas.
  • Plan departmental activities including schedules, requisitions, production guidance and training.
  • Maintain cleanliness and ensure galley operations meet public health standards at all times.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained and food product is stocked and prepared per company standards.

Job description

The Executive Chef is responsible for providing overall leadership in the ship’s Galley Operations and ensures that galley areas are operating in accordance with Company Operating Standards.

The Executive Chef ensures the achievement of company targets for guest satisfaction, shareholder value, employee satisfaction, and other key results areas.

Employees may be required to perform any other job-related duties assigned by their supervisor or management. All duties and responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with the Company's Safety, Quality and Environmental standard.
