Overview

We recruit the best talent and invest in their ongoing development through training and mentoring. We provide opportunities to work across our national network. dnata catering U.S. is looking for an Executive Chef to join our Boston team supporting Logan Airport.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop Standard Operating Procedures
  2. Increase productivity
  3. Control labor costs
  4. Manage overproduction and produce to exact order numbers
  5. Fulfill internal supply chain needs, including cold food assembly and tray setup
  6. Ensure compliance with food ready times (FRT)
  7. Maintain exact quantities as per order numbers
  8. Conduct internal communication, shift meetings, and group meetings
  9. Research formulas, processing procedures, and layout of new food products based on R&D directives
  10. Perform food modality testing
  11. Collaborate with Purchasing to source materials and meet production needs
  12. Ensure receiving department fulfills requisition orders
  13. Standardize food production and hygiene practices
  14. Coordinate with Operations on project timelines and launching new concepts
  15. Train and coach staff for job tasks
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; or Associate degree with 10+ years of culinary leadership experience
  • Expert culinary skills and experience in Michelin-starred or reputable establishments
  • Wide knowledge of global raw materials
  • Experience creating innovative menus and culinary art
  • Ability to interact with clients
  • At least 5 years of high-volume food production and airline catering experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience in MEDINA Quality Food Assurance kitchens
  • Knowledge of international cuisines and process improvements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and holding a valid food handler's certificate
Additional Details

Salary range: $100k - $140k, influenced by experience, location, and qualifications.

Work Environment & Demands

Primarily indoor work with variable noise levels. Requires standing, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 30 pounds. Emphasizes safety, security, punctuality, and attention to detail.
