Job summary

ChristianaCare is seeking a visionary Chair of the Department of Radiology and Medical Director of Radiology to lead a high-performing department within a major health system. The role combines clinical leadership, strategic operations, and academic advancement across 9 locations and a large radiology faculty.

You will partner with executive leadership to shape enterprise imaging strategy, advance clinical excellence, and mentor the next generation of radiology leaders in a complex, multi-state

Qualifications

• MD or DO required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Board Certification in Radiology or a radiology subspecialty.
• Proven success in physician leadership and department management.
• Experience leading within complex health systems or academic environments.
• Data-driven decision making balanced with people-centered leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for all clinical, professional, and administrative functions of the department.
• Advance organizational goals for clinical excellence, access, and operational efficiency.
• Lead and support graduate, postgraduate, and continuing medical education programs.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to drive strategic initiatives.
• Oversee and optimize imaging data infrastructure to support outcomes and research.
• Champion resource stewardship across imaging services.
• Partner with administrative leaders on capital planning and operating budgets.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and belonging.
