Wake Tech is seeking a Vice President & Chief Financial and Business Officer to guide the college’s financial and business services, including budgeting, forecasting, risk management, and reporting for a large, multi-campus system with significant enrollment. The role collaborates with NCCCS, state auditors, and local partners, reporting to the Executive Vice President & COO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business; CPA licensure preferred.
• Ten years progressive experience in finance, accounting, or business services.
• Five years experience managing large, high performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Advise on budget status and procedures in a transparent manner to Executive Leadership.
• Safeguard the college’s reputation through ethical and fiscally sound financial practices.
• Provide leadership and oversight for the Financial and Business Services divisions.
• Mentor Executive Leadership Team in budget management and strategic planning.
• Oversee the preparation and monitoring of budgets for state, county, and institutional funds.
• Lead year-end budget closeout to minimize reversion of funds.
• Oversee internal controls and reporting to NC Community College System and Board of Trustees.
• Communicate complex financial information to Board, senior leadership, and external stakeholders.
