EXECUTIVE CATERING CHEF - Stevens Institute of Technology - Hoboken, NJ

Gourmet Dining & Chartwells Higher Education is seeking an Executive Catering Chef to oversee kitchen operations for catering and retail services at Stevens Institute of Technology. This role involves maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment, preparing meals according to standards, and leading culinary staff.

Salary: $95,000 - $110,000
Other Compensation: Bonus Eligible
Pay Grade: 14

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan menus and ensure quality standards are met
  • Train staff on food preparation, safety, and sanitation
  • Maintain equipment, storage, and work area cleanliness
  • Manage inventory and food waste responsibly
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A.S. or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years in culinary/kitchen management, catering experience preferred
  • High-volume, complex foodservice experience desirable
  • Hands-on chef experience essential
  • Knowledge of food trends, sanitation, and cost controls
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office, email, internet
  • ServSafe certification highly desirable
