Job Summary
The Executive Catering Chef leads culinary operations for catering services at the Getty Center, focusing on food quality, team training, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction. Ensuring compliance with food safety standards, the Chef delivers exceptional dining experiences through creative and consistent execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute menus based on client needs and standards
• Ensure adherence to recipes, portion control, and presentation
• Conduct tastings and quality checks
• Train and supervise kitchen staff
• Maintain cleaning schedules
• Manage inventory and supplies within budget
• Minimize food waste and manage leftovers
• Comply with food safety regulations and pass health inspections
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in culinary arts or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of culinary/kitchen leadership experience
• Experience in high-volume catering and events
• Knowledge of culinary trends, food costing, and presentation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and kitchen management systems
• ServSafe certification preferred
• Strong communication and leadership skills with a client-first approach
