Job summary

Genentech, part of the Roche group, seeks a Corporate Culinary Director to define and elevate the workplace dining experience across its South San Francisco campus. You will lead the culinary strategy, integrate sustainable sourcing, and drive high-volume operations that reflect Genentech's culture of science and community.

You will oversee multiple venues, partner with architects on kitchen layouts, manage SLAs and KPIs with contractors, and advance wellness initiatives and plant-forward menus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management.
• 10+ years of progressive culinary leadership.
• Experience managing contract food service providers.
• Direct experience opening new large culinary facilities.
• ServSafe Manager Certification; CEC preferred.
• Strategic budget oversight and menu engineering.

Responsibilities

• Define and elevate the workplace dining experience across the South San Francisco campus.
• Lead campus-wide culinary strategy, sustainable sourcing, and high-volume operations.
• Direct multi-venue culinary vision across cafés, executive dining, catering, micro-markets, and VIP symposiums.
• Lead culinary planning for new capital building openings with architects on layouts and equipment.
• Oversee third-party food service partners with SLAs, KPIs and audits.
• Advance sustainability initiatives including farm-to-table sourcing, zero-waste targets, and plant-forward menus.
• Champion wellness programs with labeling, allergen management and nutrition offerings.
• Manage multi-million-dollar operating budgets and CapEx with P&L responsibility.
