Job summary

Ohio State University’s ERIK group seeks an Associate Vice President for Facilities and Infrastructure to provide strategic leadership for planning, development, and activation of research spaces and major initiatives to support institutional growth and impact.

The AVP will oversee capital planning, collaborate across colleges, and guide enterprise facilities strategy while ensuring compliance and alignment with university priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
• 12 years of relevant experience.
• Extensive experience in admin, space management and/or project management.
• Strong experience with research environments.
• Experience in strategic and long‑range planning.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ERIK capital budgeting and long‑range planning for research infrastructure.
• Lead strategies to attract external partners and manage relationships with industry and government.
• Provide governance for policies, procedures, and enterprise planning frameworks.
• Direct ERIK engagement with Finance on facilities components of F&A rate renewal.
• Manage operations of ERIK‑managed facilities and performance metrics for space utilization.
• Oversee university‑wide Research Cores programs and data systems for space and equipment.
• Provide leadership for a growing team of infrastructure and project management professionals.
• Represent ERIK to internal and external stakeholders and advise senior leadership.
