Job summary

Salt Lake Community College is seeking an Associate Dean for Apprenticeships, Welding & Construction-related Technologies. This role leads division initiatives in curriculum development, recruitment, and retention, and serves on the administrative team to guide programs across Building Construction, HVAC, Welding, and Apprenticeships.

The selected candidate will supervise division personnel, manage budgets, and foster collaboration with industry partners and internal stakeholders to advance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or technology required.
• At least three years of college-level teaching and/or leadership experience.
• Administrative experience in a post-secondary trades program.
• Experience coordinating curricula and program development.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of new apprenticeship programs and related curricula.
• Coordinate division budget and resources to support education quality.
• Recruit and hire faculty and staff for apprenticeship programs.
• Collaborate with PACs and external partners to improve programs.
• Provide leadership, supervision and mentorship to division faculty and staff.
